PepWow is operated by DS Venture Labs Ltd. This policy explains how the PepWow app collects, uses, stores and protects information.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, Firebase user identifier and email-verification status.
- Verification activity: QR or product codes checked, result details, date and time, and whether a code was previously scanned.
- Ordering information when ordering is available: selected item, quantity, recipient name, delivery address, order status, delivery and returns information.
- Payment status: payment reference and confirmation status. PepWow does not receive or store online-banking passwords or login credentials.
- Administrative content: authorised administrators may upload product images and manage product, batch, label and inventory records.
Camera and Bluetooth
The camera is used to read QR codes. PepWow does not intentionally save or upload camera images during QR scanning. Bluetooth and nearby-device permissions are used to connect authorised administrators to compatible label printers. Location permission is requested only on older Android versions where it is required for Bluetooth discovery.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, verify product codes, maintain scan history, prevent repeated or fraudulent code use, provide customer support, and—when ordering is enabled—process orders, payments, delivery and returns.
Service providers
PepWow uses Google Firebase for authentication, database, file storage and secure server functions. When Pay by Bank is enabled, Fena provides the hosted banking and payment-confirmation service. These providers process information under their own privacy and security obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share only the information necessary with service providers that operate the app, payments and delivery, or where disclosure is required by law, security or fraud-prevention obligations.
Retention and security
We retain account and verification information while an account remains active and as needed to provide the service. Delivery and transaction records may be retained where reasonably necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations. Access is restricted using Firebase authentication and role-based security rules.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of your information. To permanently delete your account and associated data, visit the PepWow account-deletion page. Information that must legally be retained will be minimised and kept only for the applicable retention period.
Children
PepWow is not directed to children. Users must meet the minimum legal age applicable to the service in their country.
